I just saw over on Spin Cycle a post that questions why the NRA has not gotten involved in the Plaxico Burress incident. Well here are some thoughts. First, while the NRA claims to want everyone in America to be allowed to own guns, they don't really mean everyone. What they really want is for every white person to own a gun. Second, shouldn't the NRA be using this as a talking point against the gun hating Mike Bloomberg?

Today at a hearing on the ballots in the SD 11 case, the judge ordered that the St. Johns students that were subpoenaed could leave because they where not about counting the votes but about intimidating the students. According to the NYTimes:

...at a hearing that lasted just half an hour, Justice Kevin J. Kerrigan of State Supreme Court stated that the subpoenas were nothing more than a nuisance and ordered that they be dismissed.
