Clinton unveiled as Secretary of State

President Elect Barack Obama has announced that Senator Hillary Clinton will be serving as the next Secretary of State. This is a big move for Senator Clinton. She will now become the face of US foreign policy and has the power to influence it in a way that no Senator ever could. With the senator leaving her Senate seat, however, a spot will now be opened that will be picked by Governor Paterson. Many contenders have been named, including almost every female congresswomen, New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, and every political rival to Governor Paterson. The governor has said that he will not pick someone until Senator Clinton officially leaves her senate seat after she is confirmed.
